If you are bringing friends not on the mailing list, please forward them the information!

Flags and team colours – if you have ’em, bring ’em! Try and wear your national shirts, colours or dresses on top of your coats and trousers.

What to Wear: Multiple (like 5) warm layers, boots, ski gloves, waterproof snow trousers, lots of socks, hats. Do not come out in jeans, thin wooly gloves or anything less than waterproof snow boots. Remember sunglasses and sunscreen – if you can see daylight, daylight can see you! Bring a ski helmet if you want one. Every year one or two people come dressed like they’re going for a springtime stroll and end up with chilblains and haemorrhoids – don’t let that be you!

What Else to Bring: Snack bars or bags of nuts. Lots of. You will be out there all day! Extra layers. Liquid refreshment.

Lunch: Australian Pie will be providing lunch at 12.30 pm. Someone will be collating orders in the morning. Bring lunch money.

Toilets: Make sure to do a poo before you come out. You are on an open field in a public area. Anyone know where the closest bog is?

And remember… if you sign up, turn up on time! The tournament starts at 9.55 am, so get there 5-10 mins in advance. The teams are small – 9/10-a-side, so one or two absentees or latecomers means that 60 people will be standing on a freezing field cursing you.

If you sign up and don’t turn up you’ll still be forking out a 10$ donation to the club!

Volunteers, please!

– People to set up on the field at 9.30 am

– Someone to collate lunch orders

– Someone to collect the tournament fees

Get ready for the BEST DAY OF WINTER!

Thanks, Angus.
