After a very successful season and with some stand out performances (both on and off camera) this year’s banquet stands to be one of the most entertaining in years.
Please mark your calendars – the 2010 MIRFC Annual Banquet and Awards Ceremony will take place on Saturday November 13th (6:30pm cocktail hour, 7:30pm sit down)
After discussions with several potential host venues, we are confident that we have secured the best location and value for money for our members and it will no doubt be a fantastic evening with high quality food, gallons of reasonably priced alcohol and plenty of schtick to boot!
The Banquet will be held at;
5720 Upper Lachine
After a number of recommendations we visited the venue last night and it is perfect for the banquet and awards ceremony. Our very own Dom DeFazio has given a personal guarantee on quality of the food and service and they have pulled together a fantastic deal for us;
– Pasta Dish (suitable for vegetarians)
– Short Rib of beef or Egg Plant Parmagiana
– Tea & Coffee
– Free soft drinks
Cost: $46 (tax & service included)
They have also prepared special rates for wine and will offer one litre bottles of red and white for $25 and beer for $4.50. We’re working on a Guinness special too….
The venue is large and open with extremely nice decor and they have two large screens and built-in PA system, so everyone is guaranteed a good view of presentations etc. This year’s ceremony will be hosted by; Dave Crandall and Mr Neale McDevitt
Given that we are expecting a big turnout this year and capacity is 120, we will of course need to give the restaurant some firm numbers and therefore we would ask that you RSVP as soon as possible – but please no later than 29th October (next Friday). please send RSVP’s to email@example.com (also please indicate in your reply if you would like the beef or eggplant and whether you will bringing a partner or not).
Thanks to Butch for his work organizing and look forward to seeing you all there.
