The Quebec U-20 men’s side are traveling to New Brunswick today to compete for the Atlantic Championship. The boys will take on Nova Scotia on Friday, 2pm, and if they secure victory, they will be playing the winner of Newfoundland and New Brunswick for the title on Sunday.
The squad is made up of 26 players, seven of whom are members of the Irish. They include Andy Davidson, Brandon Gramma Tennant, Ben Mackey, Anthony Isabella, Emran Ghasemi, Yannick Fortin and Vasken Redwanly. The side is also coached by Andy Plimer (along with John Lavery from Ste-Annes) and managed by John Weller.
The team has been working since the end of November and has had some excellent assistance from the Quebec rugby community and new sponsor, Société Générale, http://ww2.sgcib.com/canada/
The winner of the Atlantic Championship will go on to play the winners of Ontario for the Eastern Championship.
Best of luck to everyone and do the Irish proud, guys!
