MIRFC and Saint Patrick’s day Parade

Hello Irish!

It’s that time of year again… The St. Patrick’s Parade this coming Sunday, March 22nd!!!

As per each year, we, the MIRFC, will be walking in the parade this coming Sunday. We will be meeting on the corner of Crescent Street and Rene-Levesque at 12h00 mid-day. Once we have our group organized, then we will coordinate with the parade and find our designated spot.

Walking the parade is a great way to get involved with the MIRFC and to get to know your team-mates! It usually lasts about 45 minutes and then we all gather for a pint at our local, Hurley’s Irish Pub. I will be in touch with Rod this week to get the VIP passes for Hurley’s. If you walk in the parade, then you automatically get a pass to Hurley’s. If you don’t walk in the parade, then we can’t guarantee that you will get in, as it is very busy on Sunday.

– This is the best way to get to know a few of the vet’s and introduce yourself.

I would encourage all of you to pay attention to the weather, as some years have been colder than others. So dress appropriately!! MEANING, don’t forget to wear green!!! MIRFC gear is always a plus as we want to gain exposure for the club.

I really encourage you all to walk in the parade, bring your family along too! It always ends up being a great day for the Irish.

If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me. I’ll stop into practice this week to discuss Sunday further!

All the best green,

Conor O’Hara
