Fantastic Start for Mini Rugby Program

On a very warm Saturday morning, the Irish Mini Rugby coaches were out bright and early, getting the new equipment and fields set up, in the hope that the response from their hard work in advertising and promoting would pay off…….. and they were not to be disappointed.

The first kids starting turning up around 9:30am to register and all-in-all, a total of 30 kids (ranging in age from four to eleven years old) came out on the opening day. A fantastic result for the first session I think you’ll agree.

With great weather and willing participants the mood was jovial, as the kids quickly got into warming up their skills with fun games and exercises.

The coaches were excellent across the board and helped all the kids get involved and have fun.  The feedback we received was very encouraging from both the kids and parents who were surprised by the level of attention the kids received and commented that we even stopped to make sure the kids were hydrated.  Kids have already been asking parents when they can come back – I think that’s the best measure of success.

So congratulations to all involved in a very well prepared launch. Let’s keep promoting and keep developing these kids into the rugby players of the future!
