Al Charron Guest Speaker at 2012 Old Boys Dinner

Former Team Canada Captain, Al Charrron, is presented with a Montreal Irish tie by Club President Mark Gallagher

On Friday May 11, 2012, the club hosted its annual Old Boys dinner at Hurley’s Irish Pub. A good showing of boys, young and old, showed up to listen to former Team Canada Captain Al Charron, the most capped player in Canadian rugby history. Al shared some great stories of his time on and off the pitch and answered questions from the attendees.

Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and old boys alike, we were able to raise almost $2000 for the club’s junior and infrastructure programs. Special thanks to Al Charron, Jim Kellett, Dickie Clegg and John Dennett for their help making this year’s dinner another success.

St Annes player, John Lavery, proudly accepts a Montreal Irish jersey, one of the raffle prizes that helped raise nearly $2000.
