A Tremendous Thank You to Volunteers

First I would like to congratulate the 2nds & 1st teams and coaching staff on their cup victories! Well done!

Next, I would like to say a million thank yous to all the volunteers who braved the rain and mosquitoes yesterday and got things done! You guys are simply the best!

Our day started at 8:30am and there were people still at the clubhouse at 7:30pm! We ran out of burgers at around 4pm and Bob ran out and got more. I think we also ran out of beer around the same time , maybe 5pm, and I think someone went and got a case or more. And we were supposed to have extra beer and food leftover for the John Jones tournament next weekend!! So I think we did very well financially too! I wish I had the numbers from yesterday to go with this message. All in all, it was a very successful day for the Montreal Irish RFC! I am very grateful, happy and proud to be a part of it!

“We Are The Champions” by Queen. (MIRFC Version)

“I’ve paid my dues
Time after time.
I’ve done my sentence
But committed no crime.
And bad mistakes ‒ penalties
I’ve made a few.
I’ve had my share of mud kicked in my face
But I’ve come through.

(And I need just go on and on, and on, and on)

We are the champions, my friends,
And we’ll keep on fighting ’til the end.
We are the champions.
We are the champions.
No time for losers
‘Cause we are the champions of Quebec.”
